Description of the theft
This bike that was stolen was already previously registered in the Bike Index. It is registered under serial number BIL20010822. But that serial number is not on the bike because the serial number sticker came off the bike. There is an additional identification number on the bottom of the bike, but it is very hard to read due to wear and heavy layers of paint. That identification number begins with "98" and ends with "A1W".

I was visiting Seattle last week, and had the bicycle with me as I was staying in the Travelodge Seattle University on 25th. It was stolen when I was at the University Village shopping area. It was locked (with a cable lock) to a bike rack in the shopping center, closest to the address given.

The bike has S&S Torque Couplers in the frame and cable splitters that allow the bike to be separated in half. The bike has no labeling and no brand names on it, because it is a custom built bike and recently received a custom red paint job. Although the bike registration says the bike is brown, it is actually red in color (it used to be brown). The front fork on the bike is colored black and manufactured by LOOK. The picture in the Bike Index clearly shows the red paint finish, the black fork, and the torque couplings in the frame.
