Description of the theft
I left the bike at aroun 2:15 pm on Thrusday & came back outside at 7:50 pm on Thrusday 30 july 2015 to find it missing. It was locked on the Ottawa U campus, Between the Simards & Arts Pavillon attached to a bike stand. My lock and helmet were both left at the scene. My twin sister has the same bike as me and it was not gone, It had been double locked. Mine was lock using a Heavy duty cable lock (kryptonite), & it had been cut easily !! My sister and I had quickly left so that we could info the Protection services on the campus and saw a Suspicious Dark blue van parked at the intersection closest to where the bike was stolen. When we walked in from, The three guys frozen up and acted very differently. We were walking with my sisters bike (the exacts replicat of the bike stolen). When we had both noticed this strange behaviour, we turned around and walked towards the van. One guy quickly shut the Door of the trunk and leaded on it, while he was talking to another guy who seemed to be testing out a white framed bike. (Not to sure if he was buying that bike but he rides up and down talking about how the bike was). The car didn't move the full time we were sitting by it but then after a while we started to walk in the direction of where they would have to exit from (it was a dead end) hoping to get the liscence plate number. They only started the car until we were father down the road, When we noticed they were coming we sat down right in front of the stop sign. She they passed by, The ones sitting in the car closest to us had the windows down and starring at us. The plates number of the Toyota Van is 417 CDJ (Diplomatic Ontario - Red Plates)
Not sure if it's them, but it's a weird that that happened.
