Description of the theft
I cycled to Citadel theatre on Oct. 23 to see a show. I locked the bike outside Citadel at approx. 7:20 pm right at the south entrance to the theatre, with a steel cable lock wrapped around the bike's frame and wheels and around a parking pole. There were a few bikes locked to such poles along the street.
When I left the theatre at the end of the performance around 9:15 pm, my bike was gone. I clearly remember that I had parked and locked my bike in
that spot. I checked the ground in the vicinity - the lock (presumably cut through) was nowhere to be found. I went around the Citadel building to check if my bike had been left lying somewhere - to no avail. I returned inside
Citadel to talk to the security staff on duty, and they told me that there were NO security cameras video-recording any activity outside, so the act of theft
of my bike would not have been captured on any surveillance video. The security staff took my name and contact information nonetheless and told me
that he would ask his team and Citadel staff; if anybody saw anything in relation the theft of my bike, they would contact me. I left Citadel at approx. 9:40 pm and went home, as it seemed that there was nothing else I could
have done at that time/place.
Another distinguishing feature on my bike: it has special safety pins ("Pinhead") inserted under the saddle and in the wheels, so that the wheels and saddle could not be easily taken out. A special key is needed to remove
those pins (which I have).
