Description of the theft
Our backyard has a 6' high wooden
fence and a 6' entrance gate, which is
locked with a latch. You must be inside
the yard to unlock it. When I went to
brew coffee at about 7:30 a.m., I noticed
our shed door partially open, and when I
looked, I noticed that my bicycle was
missing. I assume that someone either
climbed the gate and opened it or came
over the fence via the alley. It's also
possible that entry was gained via the
chain link fence of our neighbor's next to
our backyard gate, which might have
made it easier for them to climb. We
have three other bicycles in the shed,
but they are all there. The gate was left
propped open by our yard wheelbarrow.
