Bicycle detail

Saturday night left the bike cable locked to itself in the back yard, which cannot be viewed unless you intentionally enter the private area. Tuesday morning, I go to ride it and it's missing, nothing was clipped, so I assume the bike was taken with the lock. The bike was silver with purple lettering. I had no ideas about serial numbers until now. It has a silver rack on the back, with a grey seat, and a small blue cross sharpied on the top of the frame.
