Bicycle detail

I was going to the movies to see Edge of Tomorrow at the AMC Metreon in central San Francisco when I parked my bike on the back of the cinema facing Yerba Buena Gardens park. There are two bicycle stands with heavy metal pipes going in curves patterns where it is easy to park. The movie started 7:15 pm and I parked my bike around 7:00 pm. I removed the front wheel and locked it with the back wheel and the ram at the bicycle stand. I used a sturdy U-lock. When I got out of the cinema and was going to collect my bike it was just gone from the stand. I checked the two stands that are right next to each other for like 15 minutes, because I couldn't believe it. No trace of it anywhere and no broken lock in sight. That’s it basically. It was still a lot of people around. I was very confused and angry, of course.
