Bicycle detail

at 2:45 pm on 1-14-23, We had an incident today where a man stole one of our bikes. Today, we have me, Sarah, Jason, and Hector working. Me and Sarah had gone to lunch. I left to get food and when I came back, I was informed that the bike was stolen.

We were busy with customers walking around. I guess he decided to pick up the bike and walk towards the door. One of our regular customers, Roy, was in the store and he ran after the man. We told him not to do anything but the thief ended up dropping his cell phone. Roy said he would trade the man's phone back to him for the bike without any questions asked and the man thought about it but then decided to steal the bike. He left out the front door and ran away. We weren't able to see if he got into a car but he ran to the left towards the main street, towards the Peets Coffee in our parking lot.

We have his cell phone and we are charging it so it doesn't die. I touched it and our customer Roy touched it. Hector might have touched it too but the thief definitely has fingerprints on it. I put it in a plastic bag for now.

Our service manager, Jason, said he saw the man earlier in the day walking around the back parking lot.
